Jackstown, Kentucky
Jackstown, Kentucky

Jackstown was a Bourbon county community on Hinkston Creek near the boundary with Nicholas county about 11 miles northeast of Paris. The area was settled before 1800 and a town named New London was laid out, which included mills, stores, and a tavern. The name Jackstown may be for John Fearne, a local resident. A Jackstown post office operated from 1866 to 1905.
