Topmost is a Knott county community about 20 miles east of Hindman on the Right Fork of Beaver Creek at the mouth of Dry Creek. The Topmost post office opened in 1923 and has moved several times, including locations on Potato Branch. An earlier post office named Republican operated in the area from 1890 to 1912.
