Switzer Bridge crosses North Elkhorn Creek at Switzer in eastern Franklin county. Originally it was a 120-foot long Howe truss design, built in 1855 and restored in 1906 and 1990. In March 1997 it was knocked from its foundation by high water and was later rebuilt yet again.
This is one of Kentucky's remaining covered bridges.
