Arthurmabel is a Magoffin county community about 16 miles southeast of Salyersville on the Licking River near the mouth of Howards Branch. The Arthurmabel post office opened in 1925 near the mouth of Mollys Branch and was named for the oldest children of the first postmaster, Burney Arnett. It later moved a short distance and closed about 1959.
