Beechmont is a Muhlenberg county community nine miles east of Greenville. It was also known as Beech Creek Junction and was a station on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad.

The Beechmont post office opened in 1949.

The population of the Beechmont census designated place in 2010 was 689.
