Confluence, Kentucky
Confluence, in northern Leslie county, is located on KY 257 about seven miles north of Hyden near the head of Buckhorn Lake. It was named for the confluence of Wilder Branch and the Middle Fork of the Kentucky River. The Confluence post office opened in 1890, moved to the mouth of Grassy Branch in 1921, moved back to Wilder Branch in 1950, and closed in 1993.
