Eminence, Kentucky
Eminence is a Henry county town said to be named for its position as the highest point on the railroad between Louisville and Lexington. Eminence was incorporated in 1851. A Bayard post office opened nearby in Shelby county in 1836 and was moved and renamed Eminence in 1850. The population in 2010 was 2,498.
