Gamaliel, Kentucky
Gamaliel is in Monroe county about six miles southwest of Tompkinsville. Settlement in the area began about 1800 and the Gamaliel School, for which the town was named, was established in 1840.
Gamaliel was incorporated in 1956.
The Gamaliel post office opened in 1870.
The population in 2020 was 390.
