Livingston, Kentucky
Livingston is a Rockcastle county city on the Rockcastle River about eight miles southeast of Mount Vernon. The settlement was originally named Fish Point and was renamed Livingston Station in the 1870s after the arrival of the railroad.
Livingston was incorporated in 1880.
The Fish Point post office opened in 1840, was renamed Livingston Station in 1879, and finally Livingston in 1882.
The population in 2020 was 165.
Livingston has been designated a Kentucky Trail Town.
South of Livingston is the Camp Wildcat Civil War battlefield. The Camp Wildcat Preservation Foundation works to preserve the battlefield.
