Loretto, Kentucky

Loretto is a Marion county city about 10 miles northwest of Lebanon. It grew around the academy that was founded in 1812 by the Sisters of Loretto.

Loretto was incorporated in 1866.

The Loretto post office opened in 1833.

The population in 2010 was 713.
