Marrowbone, Kentucky
Marrowbone is a Cumberland county community about ten miles northwest of Burkesville on Marrowbone Creek. The settlement was established in 1809 and named for the creek. The origin of the name of the creek isn't well established.
The Marrowbone post office opened in 1829.
The population of the Marrowbone census designated place in 2010 was 217.
