Parkers Lake is a McCreary county community about nine miles north of Whitley City. It was the site of the Cumberland Falls Station on the Cincinnati Southern Railroad and of a lake constructed by the railroad to supply its locomotives. Parkers Lake was never incorporated, but it is an unincorporated urban place under Kentucky law. The Parkers Lake post office opened in 1889.
