Pinchem, Kentucky
Pinchem is a Clark county community on KY 974 and Four Mile Creek about four miles south of Winchester. Stories about the name of the community include thin cattle, signals to bootleggers, or a parsimonious storekeeper. The name Pinchem was already in use (in Todd county) so the post office, which operated from 1888 to 1908, was called Tulip, named for a town in Missouri.
There is also a Pinchem in Todd county.
