Russell Springs, Kentucky
Russell Springs is a Russell county city just north of Jamestown. It was known as Big Boiling Spring by the 1850s for a local mineral spring and resort. The town was named Russell Springs in 1901.
Russell Springs was incorporated in 1936.
The Russell Springs post office opened in 1855 and closed in 1865. A Kimble post office opened in 1888 and was renamed Russell Springs in 1901.
The population in 2020 was 2,701.
