Ryland, Kentucky
Ryland is a community in Kenton county near the Licking River about two miles southeast of Covington. It was settled in the mid-nineteenth century and was a station on the Kentucky Central Railroad. The name probably comes from John W. Ryland, a landowner in the area.
The Ryland post office operated from 1873 to 1879.
North of Ryland is the separate city of Ryland Heights.
