Verona is in Boone county about 15 miles south of Burlington. It is mostly rural and low-density residential subdivisions. Verona was incorporated in 1909, but was later dissolved. The Verona post office opened in 1834. The Verona census designated place had a population of 3,635 in an area of 12 square miles in 2010.
