Wooton, Kentucky

Wooton is in Leslie county about five miles east of Hyden on KY 80 at the mouth of Wooton Creek. It was named for Charles Wooton who settled in the area in 1807. The Wooton Creek post office opened in 1891 and was renamed Wooton in 1894.
