Birdsville, Kentucky
Birdsville is a Livingston county community about six miles northwest of Smithland on the Ohio River. It was once a thriving river shipping town with hotels, a bank, and other commercial activity. The town declined with the decrease in river traffic and none of the buildings remain. The Birdsville post office opened in 1860, but has since closed.
