Cordia is a Knott county community about 15 miles southwest of Hindman on Lotts Creek. The source of the name is obscure. The Cordia post office opened in 1899, moved a short distance in 1933, and closed in 1957.

Cordia is the home of the Lotts Creek Community School, which opened in 1933.
