Dwale, Kentucky

Dwale is a Floyd county community about three miles southeast of Prestonsburg on the Levisa Fork and on the northern edge of Allen. The origin of the name is obscure.

A Haws Fork post office operated in the vicinity from 1869 to 1870. Hawes Ford operated in 1874. The Dwale post office opened in 1890

The population of the Dwale census designated place was 329 in 2010.
