East Union, Kentucky
East Union is a Nicholas county community on Somerset Creek about eight miles south of Carlisle. It was established about 1800 by German settlers from North Carolina. It was probably named for its location east of the union of the forks of Somerset Creek.
The East Union post office operated from 1854 to 1857. A Bramblett post office, named for a storekeeper, operated in East Union from 1889 to 1904.
