Emerson, Kentucky
Emerson is a Lewis county community on Grassy Fork of Kinniconick Creek about 23 miles south of Vanceburg.
A Bellvue post office opened nearby in Carter county in 1894, was renamed Emerson the same year, probably for the writer Ralph Waldo Emerson, moved to Lewis County in 1900, and closed in 1997.
