Fisherville, Kentucky
Fisherville is an eastern Jefferson county community on Floyds Fork. Settlement began by the early nineteenth century and the name comes from Robert Fisher's mill, established circa 1840. Fisherville is now within the merged Louisville-Jefferson County. A Curreys post office, named for its first postmaster, opened nearby in 1833. It moved and was renamed Fisherville in 1847.
