Hollybush, Kentucky
Hollybush is a Knott county community about 10 miles east of Hindman along Hollybush Creek just northeast of Pippa Passes. The area was probably settled during the late nineteenth century and there was a community known as Head of Hollybush from 1881 until it was abandoned in 1960. There were stores, a mill, school, etc.
A post office called Sylvester operated at various locations up from the mouth on Caney Creek from 1900 to 1904. A Hollybush post office operated at several locations at or near the mouth from 1901 until 1996.
