Kinniconick, Kentucky
Kinniconick is a Lewis county community on Kinniconick Creek at the mouth of Grassy Branch about five miles south of Vanceburg. The community was named for the creek, which may be a Native American name. Both are also known as Kinney. At one time it was at least a small town with mills, school, and a hotel.
A Kinniconick post office opened in 1824 and operated intermittently until 1955. A Kinny Mills post office operated in 1864 and 1865. A Randville post office, named for a local Rand family, operated in the vicinty from 1884 to 1914.
