Kosmosdale, Kentucky

Kosmosdale is a southwestern Jefferson county community near the Ohio River. The name comes from the Kosmos-Portland Cement Company.

The Kosmosdale area is now part of merged Louisville/Jefferson County.

A post office opened as Grassy Pond in 1854, was renamed River View in 1860, and was renamed Kosmosdale in 1905. The post office closed in 1966.
