New Concord, Kentucky
New Concord is a Calloway county community about 10 miles southeast of Murray on Blood River. Originally known as Humility and then Concord, it may have been one of the first towns in the county, established circa 1820. It once had some manufacturing, other businesses, schools, etc. The name Concord may be for the town in Massachusetts or another in North Carolina. Concord was incorporated in 1835, reincorporated as New Concord in 1868, but was later dissolved. The Humility post office opened in 1833 and was renamed New Concord in 1841.
