New Zion, Kentucky
New Zion is in Jackson county at the head of Wild Dog Creek about six miles northwest of McKee. The origin of the name isn't known.
The Orpha post office opened in 1905, was renamed Muncy in 1911, and New Zion in 1942. It closed in 1981.
Much of the vicinity is in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
There is another New Zion in Scott county.
