Oddville is an eastern Harrison county community on US 62 about five miles northeast of Cynthiana. Settlement in the area began in 1799. The name was apparently an attempt to satisfy the postal authorities with a unique name for the post office. The Oddville post office opened in 1851 and closed in 1903.
