Risner, Kentucky
Risner is a Floyd county community about six miles southwest of Prestonsburg on Caney Creek near the mouth of Alum Lick Fork. The name Risner comes from a local family. An Alumfork post office opened nearby in 1915 and closed in 1916. The Risner post office opened in 1923 and closed in 1984.
