Rosewood, Kentucky
Rosewood is a Muhlenberg county community about 10 miles southeast of Greenville. It was originally known as Cisney for a local pioneer family. Why it was renamed Rosewood isn't clear.
Rosewood was incorporated in 1890, but was later dissolved.
The Rose Wood post office opened in 1854 and closed in 1855. The Rosewood post office opened in 1879 and closed the same year. The Cisney post office opened in 1884 and closed in 1915.
