Warfield, Kentucky
Warfield is in Martin county about 10 miles east of Inez on the Tug Fork of the Big Sandy River. Warfield was the original county seat when Martin county was formed in 1870, but it was moved to Inez in 1873. The town was named for John Warfield, an early resident.
Warfield was incorporated in 1982.
The Warfield post office opened in 1856.
The population of Warfield in 2020 was 265.
