Weeksbury, Kentucky

Weeksbury is a Floyd county community about 35 miles south of Prestonsburg near the mouth of Caleb Fork of the Left Fork of Beaver Creek. It was named for two officers of the Elk Horn Coal Corportation, Weeks and Woodbury. In the early twentieth century the population was over 1,500.

Weeksbury was incorporated in 1917 and dissolved in 1953.

The Weeksbury post office opened in 1914.
