West Louisville, Kentucky
West Louisville is a Daviess county community about 16 miles southwest of Owensboro. It was named by an early settler who arrived from Louisville in 1854. It was a small commercial center until the arrival of the railroad, which didn't pass through the town.
West Louisville was incorporated in 1880, but was later dissolved.
The West Louisville post office opened in 1867.
