Clarksburg, Kentucky
Clarksburg is a Lewis county community about three miles southwest of Vanceburg. It was named for William Clark. It became the seat of Lewis county when it was moved from Poplar Flat in 1809. In 1864 the county seat was moved to Vanceburg.
The Lewis County Court House post office opened in 1811, was renamed Clarksburg in 1820, and closed in 1932.
