Cowan, Kentucky Cowan, Kentucky

Cowan is in Fleming county about nine miles west of Flemingsburg on KY 32. It was established in 1872 as a station on the Maysville and Lexington Railroad on land from John Henry Cowan. The Cowan post office operated from 1872 to 1958.
