Elliston, Kentucky

Elliston is a Madison county community on Muddy Creek about eight miles east of Richmond. The name comes from Thomas Ellis who ran the mill and post office.

The Elliston post office operated from about 1847 to 1861 and possibly from 1866 to 1869.

There is also an Elliston in Grant county
