Howardstown, Kentucky
Howardstown is a southern Nelson county community on the Rolling Fork at Lunar Creek about 22 miles southwest of Bardstown. It grew around the early nineteenth century mill of William Howard and was known as Howard's Mill.
A Lunar post office opened in 1884, was renamed Howardstown in 1893, and closed in 1994.
