New Hope, Kentucky
New Hope is a Nelson county community about 16 miles south of Bardstown. The area was settled in the 1780s and became the home of several distilleries. It was a station on the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The New Hope the post office opened in 1844. The population of the New Hope census designated place was 129 in 2010.
