Poplar Plains, Kentucky
Poplar Plains is a Fleming county community about six miles southeast of Flemingsburg. The area was settled before 1800 and Poplar Plains, named for local poplar trees, was once the largest town in the county.
Poplar Plains was incorporated in 1831, but later dissolved.
The Poplar Plains post office opened in 1823 and closed in 1926.
