Samuels, Kentucky
Samuels is a Nelson county community about seven miles northwest of Bardstown. The area was settled by the early nineteenth century and named for the Samuels family. The Louisville and Bardstown Railroad arrived circa 1860 and established a station.
In 1860 the post office at nearby Deatsville moved to the site and was renamed Samuels Depot. In 1894 the name was shortened to Samuels. It closed in 1987.
